Future Trojans: As you think about living in Los Angeles know that you’re in for an adventure—when it comes to coffee! Coffee is essential to the college experience, whether you’re up early for the first lecture of the day or cramming late before finals week.
Los Angeles isn’t just home to movie stars and killer sunsets… It’s also one of the most exciting coffee cities in the U.S., with world-class roasts, quirky neighborhood cafes and Instagram-worthy latte art around every corner. In fact, LA’s coffee culture has become legendary, full of unique global influences, artisanal shop, and hidden gems worth exploring.
Whether you’re visiting campus or planning your future study spots, here are some of my favorite coffee haunts near USC and beyond. Let’s get caffeinated!
Right Around USC Campus
Cafe Dulce – The Unofficial USC Coffee Hall of Fame
Your first stop when you land on campus! This Village favorite serves super smooth espresso drinks, cold brew and tasty pastries right across from campus. Great for a quick pick-me-up between classes or an alfresco study session.
Nature’s Brew by Bacari – Local Vibe, Hearty Sips
Just a short stroll from campus, Nature’s Brew is cozy, laid-back and perfect for catching up with friends or tackling homework. Locals rave about its friendly baristas and affordable menu.
