Getting to Know USC from the Comfort of Your Own Home
The University of Southern California’s campus is decorated in beautiful brick buildings and luscious landscapes. However, you don’t necessarily have to be physically on campus to explore the school. There are plenty of ways for prospective students and families to get a taste of USC right in their own home. Whether you are looking for a tour of campus, interaction with current students or information about the admission process, USC has a robust library of resources for students to get to know our school from the comfort of their own home.
Take a Virtual Tour
To get a sense of what campus looks like, you can visit our Online Immersive Tour of USC. (This can also be a great way for students to familiarize themselves with campus before visiting in person.) The tour will take you through different areas of campus and provide extra photo galleries to show what buildings look like inside. You will be able to visit multiple locations such as Alumni Park, Tutor Campus Center, the Village Dining Hall and so forth.
Attend an Information Session
If you still want to know more about campus, you can attend one of our Virtual Information Sessions to hear about all aspects of USC admission and get some general information about our campus and history. These sessions can be booked on the USC Undergraduate Admission Tours website. A schedule with upcoming dates is available for sessions about general admission for both the first-year and transfer processes.
Research Academic Departments
All of USC’s Academic Departments have their own dedicated websites featuring information about their faculty, curriculum, admission requirements and additional resources. To make things easier for you, a comprehensive list of these departments can be found in the USC Departments Directory. You can also attend an academic department information session to learn more about what that specific school looks for in your applications. Sign ups for these sessions can be found on the USC Undergraduate Admission Tours website.
Follow us on Social Media
Our Undergraduate Admission Office has an active presence on social media, and our accounts can be a great source of information for students who may not be able to access campus easily. On Instagram stories, you’ll constantly see student stories showing you the day-to-day life of current students and coverage of fun events. You’ll also get updates or important information about the admissions process. Our Youtube is home to a great series called “You and USC” where students talk about their insights and experiences regarding choosing USC and what they love about the school. You can also use this page to see videos of the different housing options offered at USC if you can’t make it to campus before you have your housing appointment.
